Non-Profit Organizations pervade our society.

They include religious congregations, universities, hospitals, environmental groups, art museums, youth recreation associations, civil rights groups, community development groups, labor unions, political parties, social clubs, and many more.

Some play prominent roles as service providers, economic developers, and social advocates. Others play less visible, but equally critical roles in fostering community involvement and civic participation, enhancing the quality of life, and promoting civic and religious values.

Not surprisingly, NPOs are growing rapidly in number, size, budgets, and job creation. By several measures, growth in the nonprofit sector is outpacing growth in the rest of the economy.

But many non-profit organizations, particularly smaller ones, are finding it increasingly difficult to accomplish their mission. They simply lack the human and financial resources to do so.

Such organizations are increasingly looking for a technology solution to help bridge the gap between their mission and their limited resources.

A well-conceived and highly functional website can play an important role in that plan.
