Dynamic, database-driven Websites were once the sole domain of large corporations. Now database marketing is now possible and
affordable for even the smallest organizations.
That's largely due to an incredibly functional program called "Cold Fusion". In its
relatively short life, CF has proven itself to be a solid, reliable, and scalable development platform for database-driven websites and other web-based applications.
First applied to his investment banking business, JR Leonard has become a highly skilled CF programmer. Most every JRL website is based on a CF platform, which
basically works like this:
1. All CF websites have two sides: the CLIENT SIDE and the ADMIN SIDE. 2. All content is added on the ADM SIDE using simple-to-use input web pages.
3. That content is stored in a database, not on the webpage. 4. When accessed, the webpage "calls" the appropriate content from the database.
